Finding Balance: Nutrition Tools & Tips to Maximize Your Health and Fitness

  Oatmeal;

Oatmeal or sweet potatoes they receive bad rap due to carb conversion to sugar what do we need to know about them well thing is carbohydrates are sugar mm-hmm whenever we eat a carbohydrate and it gets digested it becomes sugar as I said it becomes glucose which we call blood sugar and we need that to be healthy so sweet potatoes are a great source of beta-carotene and vitamin A and fiber and oatmeal is a great source of fiber and beta glucan which is an antioxidant.

Greek yogurt;

Greek yogurt but again as I said earlier it depends on what the whole composition of your diet is if you're eating a diet that has a lot of cheese and or animal foods and it's high in saturated fat then the lower fat one may be a better choice for you mm-hmm that's great but you know regular yogurt is fine too Greek yogurt is just it's strained so some of the waters been taken out so it's got a more concentrated source of protein and some people don't like that very tart taste if you like regular yogurt I generally recommend my patients get clean yogurt and add your own fruit add your own honey or cinnamon or whatever you want to add to it and then you can decide what's in it and not have the food company decide how much sugars in it right yeah my preference is eating 0% Greek yogurt with a little a tablespoon of almond butter and that keeps me full for the entire day got the protein and and the right the right it's a great choice I like things that are savory so if I read in yogurt I would put like a little olive oil and cayenne pepper on it mmm sounds weird but I'll give that a try ok and we have one last question.
