Muscular ;
Muscular and then the third somatotype again remember these are right out at the extremes of human bodies is known as endomorph or an endomorphic somatotype where the proportion of muscle to fat is different again this time more fat and perhaps in comparison at least to the amount of muscle so we've got these somatotypes that we can kind of use to classify where individual bodies are and it can help us get a rough understanding of levels of fitness and also to some extent levels of health of a particular body as to where they fit in comparison to these three extreme somatotypes so in terms .
somatotypesnow;
Somatotypesnow body types are commonly categorized we talked about body composition and different types of bodies but body types are commonly categorized along three axes three axes and each of the somatotypes i'm about to mention are the extremes of each of those three axes and so each body each human body falls somewhere in between these extremes this combination perhaps of each of these extremes or these categories so the extremes of the three somatotypes would be ectomorphs so very leanlong limbed um often very thin body type would be the first and the first extreme somatotype the second extreme somatotype would be a mesomorphic somatotype so mesomorph characterized by hypermuscularity very lean.Essentially;
Essentially a low-fi version of a bioelectrical impedance analysis machine we can also use the old-fashioned skin fold calipers where we can put calipers on onto the skin itself and see how much fat can be pinched with those calipers also we can do something called hydrostatic weighing where we submerge a body in water and the weight that we get from that gives us an indication as to what proportion of that weight is muscle and what proportion is fat and that can help us understand and get get a snapshot picture of our body composition overall so let's finish up talking about body composition with this idea.
